HOW GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO SERVE TOGETHER...
Many in the evangelical community have been blessed tremendously by the epochal book, Experiencing God, as well as the seminal series on the biblical characters entitled the Biblical Legacy series. Many have appraised those works as having turned their lives around in so a significant way.
Now, from the highly acclaimed pastor and author Dr. Henry Blackaby, along with his son Dr. Tom Blackaby of North Sea Baptist Church in Norway; a new book in the biblical legacy series have emerged.
Anointed to be God's Servants is an intimate look at the lives of the apostle Paul and his companions, a sweeping gaze on the lessons that can be gleaned from biblical companionship. The biblical ideal is never for the lone ranger to serve God's purposes, but a group...a unit...a body. It is from a united front that strength can be drawn and power can be sieved from the Lord on High.
Through nurtured relationships, Christ-centred friendships and a devotion to the "prize" of the call, the Blackabys allow us to see the value of not only being in the "forefront" or the "limelight" of ministry, but of those who express the gift of helps, support and administration.
Let us learn to serve and worship God together, as One body, as One church.
