Terms & Conditions:

• Membership cards issued are Valid for 12 Months; starting from the month after the application has been approved.
• Membership cards issued are Non-transferable, discounts, promotions and offers are only extended to the card owner.
• Members are entitled to a 10% Discount on White-tagged items & Yellow-tagged items with the Exception of Items on Special Discount, Nett-priced items, Music CDs and DVDs/VCDs.
• Unless otherwise stated, the membership privileges cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions.
• All applicants who sign up for the membership card will also be automatically included in the SKS Books E-mailing list.
• A replacement fee SGD$2.00 will be charged for the replacement of the membership card.
• The Management of SKS Books reserves the rights to change the Terms & Conditions without prior notice.

FAQs

Q: How do I apply for the membership card?
A: You can apply for the membership card when you drop by the store and request for an application form.

An annual membership fee of SGD$5.00 applies, however the membership fee is waived if you spend SGD$50.00 or more in a single receipt. What's more, you get to enjoy your discounts starting from that very purchase.

Q: Can I apply for the membership card online?
A: We currently do not offer membership sign-ups online. This is because we feel that the membership is meant to give us a chance to personally thank every individual that has supported us over the years. As such, we would like to encourage all our customers to come sgn-up in person so that we can thank each of you personally.

Q: If I apply for the membership card today, do I get the discounts immediately?
A: You get to enjoy the discounts on the very day you sign up for the membership card. The 12 months of membership only starts counting next month. For example, if you sign up on 21/06/10, your membership will end on the 31/07/11.

Q: When and where can I collect my membership card?
A: We will give you a call or drop you an email once your card is ready for collection. You can only collect your card at the counter as we need to verify your identity before we release the membership card to you. What's more on the day you collect your membership card, we will give you an one-time 15% discount for all your White-tagged purchases during that visit.

Q: Can I use my Birthday/Discount vouchers together with the Membership discount?
A: No, you are not allowed to use the Birthday/Discount vouchers together with the Membership discount. However you can still continue to use the Birthday/Discount voucher separately even after the launch of the Membership card.

Q: Why is it only a 10% discount?
A: All our prices already include the 7% GST! This means that there is no hidden cost!

Q: If I am buying it as a gift for the pastor of my church/buying it to bless my church, do I get the Church Resource discount?
A: No, the Church Resource Discount is only meant for items meant for official church use such training resources, items meant for general congregation’s use (i.e. hymns for the pews, resource library), church gifts (i.e. bibles or books to be given away as gifts to the congregation), etc. You do get the member’s discount if you are a member.

Q. Why are the CDs not included in the membership scheme?
A: This is because our CDs are already being sold at a discounted price even before the membership scheme came along as we believe that praise and worship is a very important part of a Christian’s life and everyone should have easy access to it.
