Seminary president Jeff Iorg looks back at the New Testament church in Antioch to find a biblical model of what healthy churches should look like today's society.

Advising a principled approach in the context of this comparison, he shares methods for measuring church health that are based on hard data as well as discernable spiritual realities.

Key areas of discussion include a church’s need to emphasize how the Holy Spirit can empower us, how the church as a whole can advance the gospel and change lives.

Other topics which are covered include how the church can maintain doctrinal integrity, resolving conflicts among the members, how to build a strong leadership, and sacrificial living as success in these areas will help to determine the future of the church.

Jeff Iorg, president of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, is also the author of The Character of Leadership and holds degrees from Hardin Simmons University and Midwestern and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminaries. He has answered God's call to be a church planter, pastor, and denominational executive. Jeff and his wife, Ann, and their 3 adult children reside in California.
