DESCRIPTION

Pastor of but one church all his working life in a small university town, Charles Simeon sowed seeds that continue to reproduce themselves throughout the world. Few men have known such initial opposition to their preaching of the gospel in the local church, and few have known such fruitfulness that has extended far beyond their own generation. This well researched biography reveals how, despite his weaknesses, Simeon truly reflected the character of the Lord, and hos his life and experience demonstrated enduring principles relevant to the church at all times.
