The task given to the authors of the essays in this book - three scholars from three different continents - was to examine the phenomenon of intelligence. Human and animal intelligence is known to us. Extraterrestrial intelligence and artificial intelligence are now serious topics for debate and discussion. The possibilities of extraterrestrial intelligence and yet-to-be-developed forms of artificial intelligence pose questions about how intelligent animals are and what the implications are for our concept of God and the salvific work of Christ. God, Life, Intelligence and the Universe is the first in the ATF's new Science and Theology Series.
