You know the names of God but do you know the names he has given you?

From faithful to doorkeeper to living stone, God has quite an array of names for his people. Just as the names of God help us know him more intimately, God's names for us show who we truly are and point us toward the one who has called us by name. Even the personal names in the Bible, like Martha and Saul, have deep meaning for us. In fifty meditations that range from the names we love to be called to the names we wish didn't apply, respected Bible teacher and author Mary Foxwell Loeks helps us understand who we are as followers of God.

The power of being named by God brings our most important relationship alive, and these short passages will give comfort, inspiration, and guidance. Each reading ends with practical suggestions on "claiming the name" for yourself.
