DESCRIPTION

This book is a collection of excerpts from conversations Martin Luther had with his students and colleagues, who furiously scribbled notes as he spoke. Reading them, it's easy to imagine Luther and his students sitting around the table discussing issues of great concern to the early reformists.

These excerpts are frequently anecdotal, highly opinionated, sometimes sublime, sometimes unsophisticated, occasionally brutal—and always unequivocal. In all of them Luther had his say, and what he had to say can give you great insight into the early problems and concerns of the Reformation that changed the lives of millions of Christians - and continues to do so today.
