Understanding Covenant is Key to Understanding the Depth of God's Love for You

Biblical covenant is an unfamiliar concept to the modern mind. In the Bible, a covenant between two people was a bond of relationship kept equally by both parties - a sacred commitment, a deal backed by a promise and sealed in blood through animal sacrifice.

The difference in God's Covenant with us is that He not only initiated the bond of relationship, but He also kept our side of the deal.

How did He do that? And how does biblical covenant affect us today? In Shaking Hands with God, Dick Bernal presents God's covenant plan for the redemption of all people. Beginning with Adam and Eve in the Old Testament, he traces the threads of covenant through them and the lives of the Patriarchs, the making of a covenant people after the exodus, and the judges and prophets and kings who governed them.

In the New Testament, all the varicolored threads come together in a stunning, finished design that shows what lengths God went to in order to prove His love for us in the life, death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

This epic love story - of which you are a member of the cast - will thrill you with its far-reaching implications for your life. God is waiting with outstretched hand. Reach out in faith to clasp it, and He will do the rest.
