DESCRIPTION

While it is true that Jesus' parables are timeless and speaks to people of all ages and cultures, the setting is essentially Middle Eastern in nature. They really only make sense when understood in their oriental setting.

Without seeing them as the skillfully crafted oriental stories which they are, we can easily miss out on the beauty and impact behind the stories.

This book sets out to answer the quesiton of how did the original listeners understand the parables and explains it as they were orignally intended to be understood.
