Synopsis from the publisher:

"Surprise me, God."

Remember how much you loved surprises as a child? Christmas, birthdays, creating adventures in the backyard-you lived for those times. Life was a lot more fun when spontaneity was embraced, not feared.

When did the rules change?
Why do adults seem to lose that sense of adventure?
Who says we're supposed to be spiritual control freaks?

Terry Esau draws from his own experiences to illustrate why the element of surprise is central to living out a childlike faith. Again and again in the Bible, God surprises his children with his grace and calling. He wants to do the same in your life.

For the next thirty days, open your heart and pray this simple prayer: "Surprise me, God." No agendas, no plans. Just wait on God with eager anticipation-and watch what happens next!
