And each study provides valuable leader helps to make it easy to lead.

Synopsis of Surrendering to Christ Together

The ultimate paradox of the Christian life is that victory comes through surrender.

Many of us aspire to a life of abandonment to God and his purposes, but we find the daily grind and our own habits get in the way.

Jesus knew he set the bar high, but he did not leave us without guidance. In these six sessions, you will learn from his teaching and example the character qualities essential to a "life less ordinary" - a life of worshipful surrender.

This guide explores six heart attitudes that will motivate groups to passionately embrace God’s agenda: trust in God’s power and wisdom; the desire to have their lives count for something; humility; wild gratitude; a commitment stronger than the costs; and confidence in their eternal survival. Because worship is the only sensible response to what you’ll learn, this guide is also packed with creative ideas to take groups to new depths of worship.

This volume includes video talks by these popular teachers: John Ortberg, Donna Jones, Delanyo Adadevoh, Dave Gibbons, Jim Burgen and Mike Breaux.

Each DVD is  carefully coordinated for a seamless lesson. Each of the six sessions includes:

• Leader Lifter—pre-session video training talk, offering weekly insights and practical techniques for leading small groups

• Creative Element—a personal story, interview, drama, or music video related to the weekly topic

• Introductory Question—to get the conversation flowing

• Dynamic Teaching—featuring well-known teachers such as John Ortberg, Tony Campolo, Gordon MacDonald, Stormie Omartian, Henry Cloud, and others

• Bible Study—gets to the heart of the matter with discussion and application

• Worship Music—featuring the songs of Maranatha! together with lyrics, uplifting video images, and visual introductions by popular Christian artists

Experiencing Christ Together helps your group explore the five biblical purposes of a high-impact Christian life—fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism, and worship. Jesus perfectly lived out God’s purposes for his life, and he taught his followers how to do the same. As you walk in the footsteps of those first disciples by listening to and watching Jesus through these studies, you and your group will be transformed.

One small group leader put it this way: “The Experiencing Christ Together series has motivated me more than any other Bible study that I have ever been to. This Bible study gets to the heart of the matter—my character in Christ—and that has created action on my part.”
