DESCRIPTION

Addressing questions about the Bible's relevance in a postmodern, pluralistic society, Theissen offers insight into why knowing Scripture is part of being "educated." He discusses the Bible's basic elements; describes core themes, including creation, miracle, hope, faith, and judgment; and reveals biblical resources for dialogue with a secular culture, different religions, and other confessions.
