DESCRIPTION

Interacting with established conversations regarding theological foundations and the development of Christian doctrine, Yarnell distinguishes between inventio---making explicit what is implicit in biblical revelation---and the less relevatory process of "invention."

His erudite study identifies biblical inerrancy as inventio, advocates consistent discipleship to Christ, and promotes a Spirit-led congregational interpretation of God's Word.
