Synopsis from SKS Books:

There are many books written on pastoring in the market today. Some of them theological, others with a more ecclesiastical slant, even more others pivoting on the fulcrum of church growth dynamics and the seeker-sensitive ideal.

Whether one sings to the tune of the seeker-sensitive harange, one thing is certain. Ministry in real life is not that easy.

In fact, it is down-right difficult.

Many pastors in our lifetime have been found wanting...lost in the mire of personal sin, public ignominy, ministry failures or physical and emotional weariness. So what keeps a pastor going year in and year out, doing what he's called to do?

This is the book that addresses just this issue.

It is not just about attendance numbers and peer acceptance. It is about the pastoral heart and the vision of the shepherd. Here within these pages burned the words of two impassioned veterans in the field. With wisdom from the heart and depth of pastoral empathy, H. B London and Neil Wiseman gives us a book which rejuvenates and energises, bringing us back to the call of the pastor as only God can.
