DESCRIPTION

Why did the church accept some gospels rather than others? Was it earlier dating, what they discerned as authentic teaching, or the way each one's teaching affected the lives of those who followed it? In one volume, Comfort and Dreisbach discuss thirty-five various manuscripts that claim to describe the life of Jesus, pointing out their significance.
